FortisAlberta’s primary goal is to ensure that every single day our employees return home safely to their families and loved ones. Through the Company's Home Safely program, teams create action plans to shift their focus to performing work safely in any situation and environment. We continue to strengthen our safety culture through a relentless focus on injury prevention and hazard assessment, safety training and coaching within the MoveSafe® program.
Our state-of-the-art Employee Development Centre (EDC) provides both a classroom and hands-on approach to learning for our Power Line Technicians. Through the EDC, we deliver more than 40,000 hours of safety and technical skills training to more than 500 employees each year

Health and Wellness
FortisAlberta recognizes that our employees play an important role in the Company's success. We are committed to enhancing the overall health and wellness of all employees by offering employees a 24-hour Employee and Family Assistance Plan, Health Spending and Wellness accounts as part of a comprehensive benefits plan. Employees are also provided with information and resources to promote health and they have access to quality health resources.
