Click on “view” to see more detailed information. From here you can check your monthly and daily electricity consumption. You can download your daily usage data for a specific date range to Excel format by clicking on the “download” button.
You have access to a maximum of two years of daily energy consumption data represented in daily or monthly increments. In addition, if you have a demand meter, you will have access to the demand data for the same time periods. The most recent meter reads will be two days old. Historical weather information is also provided at each data point.
There are a number of reasons that you may not see current usage for the Meter Number that you provided.
-If you have initiated a name change with your electricity Retailer (billing provider) you will not be able to see any information dated prior to that change.
-If you have recently moved to this location you will only be able to view data from your move-in date forward.
Daily temperature information displayed is obtained from Environment Canada’s historical database. You will not see temperature information if the closest weather station has no information for the time frame you have chosen or if FortisAlberta does not have an up-to-date GPS location for your meter. Environment Canada will be missing data from time to time which will translate to corresponding days missing.
Estimates are calculated reads that are used when actual reads for the meter are not available. For example this might occur when planned or emergency work impacts the transmission of the data from the automated meter. When no read is available for one or more days we estimate the consumption used on those days. To calculate the estimates we look at the consumption between the last actual read and the next actual read, and average that total consumption across each of the days missing an actual read value.
The Current 12 Months on the monthly chart represents the past twelve calendar months. The Previous 12 Months represents the year prior.
The monthly consumption and demand totals on your bill are based on a billing cycle that may not be aligned with a calendar month. For example, your billing cycle may be from August 15th to September 14th. The monthly chart on this website will always show consumption and demand from the first day of the month to the last day of the month.
