FortisAlberta Partners with Parkland School Division to Implement Electricity Education Program

As a Power Partner, we’re working with Parkland School Division to introduce the program to Grade 9 and 10 classrooms. To help teachers prepare, FortisAlberta supported Parkland School Divisions Professional Development Day where educators received training and resources to bring the curriculum to life.
Developed by Electricity Canada in partnership with Electricity Human Resources Canada, Electricity Now! provides bilingual, curriculum‑aligned lessons that explain electricity, electrification and climate change, while highlighting the exciting career opportunities emerging in the electricity sector.
This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting education, empowering future innovators and helping Alberta students understand their role in Canada’s energy transition.
